🐴 This is the 5% you see

The lights. The music. The performances. Travelling around the country with your horse and riding alongside your teammates.

It’s pretty special.

But there’s another 95%.

Weekly team training. Regular lessons. Practising at home. Loading up and travelling your horse every week. Working on the lateral movements, transitions, spacing and tiny details. Getting things wrong, working them out and doing them again.

That’s where this team is really built.

We’re looking for experienced riders in Devon who would love to become part of the All-Steps Formation Riding Team.

Our work is based on classical riding principles, so you’ll need to be a confident, competent rider with established flatwork, including lateral movements.

More importantly, you need to love the training as much as the performance.

Because this picture might be the 5% everyone sees, but you have to want the other 95% too.

Think that sounds like you?

Comment TEAM below and we’ll get in touch.

Or tag a rider who you think belongs in this line.

One week to go! 👀

Entries for theASFR Quarterly Formation Riding Competition close Monday 14th September.

If your team is planning to enter, now's the time to get that entry sorted and concentrate on practising and filming.

Remember, it doesn't have to be perfect. We'd much rather see teams having a go than waiting until everything feels perfect!

🐴 Every Horse Learns Differently

Some need reassurance.

Some need patience.

Some are ready for a challenge.

That's why we don't believe in teaching every horse the same way. We work with the horse and rider in front of us, at the pace that's right for them.

There isn't just one way to succeed.

✨ Success looks different for everyone.

Thank you Uffington White Horse Show! ❤️

A slightly belated thank you to Shelley and the whole team at White Horse Show for having us along to perform last weekend.

Everything was so calm and relaxed and we were made to feel incredibly welcome from the minute we arrived. And despite what the forecast had been threatening, the weather gods were firmly on our side too! 😂☀️

And a big thank you to our team and horses, biggies and minis, for doing us proud as always.

Hopefully you'll have us back again next year… we'd love to come! ❤️
