Sculptra is one of my favourites for the patient who says, “I don’t want to look different, I just don’t want to look quite so… deflated.” 😅
It works gradually by stimulating your own collagen, so the result builds over time rather than appearing overnight. That makes it especially useful for softening hollowing, improving support and helping skin feel firmer without creating that “what have you had done?” effect.
It’s not a quick fix, and it’s not right for everyone, but if you’re noticing loss of structure, increasing laxity or that general feeling that your face has changed and you can’t quite put your finger on why, it’s absolutely worth discussing.

This is exactly why I talk so much about having a long-term treatment plan rather than chasing quick fixes.
My beautiful patient Astrid has just been featured in Devon Live after people started commenting on how youthful and fresh she looks, and I’m so pleased to see her journey getting a little spotlight.
She’s been on my page before because we’ve worked together for years, taking a considered approach to her skin rather than relying on one treatment to do everything. Her plan has included Sculptra to support collagen and structure, radiofrequency microneedling to improve firmness and skin quality, and consistent at-home skincare to protect and maintain the results.
For me, this is what ageing well looks like. Not changing someone’s face or trying to make them look like a different person, but supporting the skin and facial structure gradually so the result still feels completely like them.
It’s also a good reminder that the best results are often built over time. Small, well-chosen treatments, good skincare and consistency will nearly always take you further than one dramatic intervention.
If you’d like to start building a long-term plan for your own skin, send me a message or book a consultation via the link in my bio 💌

The fear of looking overdone is the thing I hear most often from patients who are curious about aesthetics but haven't yet taken the step.
And I completely understand it, because the results that put people off are genuinely out there and they're hard to unsee. 👀
But those results tell you something very specific about the decision-making involved, not about aesthetics as a whole. Good treatment is invisible. The people walking around with results they're happy with aren't identifiable because there's nothing to identify, and that's exactly the point.
Here are five things I say in almost every consultation with a patient who shares that concern, from why less is always the starting point, to why choosing the right person to treat you matters more than anything else 👉🏼
If you've been sitting on the fence, it's worth a read. Link in bio to book a consultation whenever you're ready, no pressure and no obligation. 💌

Occupational hazard of being an aesthetic nurse: I’m annoyingly consistent with SPF, very attached to my retinoid, and I will happily talk about collagen for far longer than anyone asked 😅
But underneath all of that, the things I prioritise for myself are exactly what I recommend to patients too. Good skin first, treatments that make sense, and never stopping learning just because you’ve been doing this for years 🤍
Sculptra is one of my favourite options for anyone who wants to look refreshed without any of the tell-tale signs of having something done, and that’s because it works so differently from traditional filler.
Rather than adding volume where it’s placed, Sculptra stimulates your own collagen over time, gradually rebuilding structure and support from within.
That makes it particularly beautiful for areas where we naturally lose volume as we age, like the cheeks, temples and lower face. Instead of filling those areas, you’re restoring the foundations beneath them, which is exactly why the result looks so natural.
This isn’t an instant fix. The results develop gradually over several months as your collagen builds, so if you’re after immediate volume, or you want to treat fine lines or lips specifically, traditional filler would be the better route.
But if you’re happy to let things develop slowly and naturally, think of it less as filling your face and more as rebuilding its structure over time.

Pigmentation is the concern I see people spend the most money on for the least return, and it's almost always because they're using products that aren't designed to address what's actually causing it.
The brightening serum market is enormous and the packaging is persuasive, but most of those products are working at the surface of the skin. The pigmentation that accumulates through decades of UV exposure sits deeper than that, which is why results tend to be inconsistent and easily undone the moment summer arrives. This post walks through why that happens, what actually interrupts melanin production at the source, and where in-clinic treatments fit into a properly structured plan for patients with more established sun damage.

Pigmentation is one of the most frustrating skin concerns to treat, and a lot of that frustration comes down to being sold the wrong solutions.
Brightening serums are everywhere, and the marketing around them is convincing. But most of them are working at the surface of the skin, which isn't where the problem lives.
The pigmentation that builds through your 40s and beyond is the result of decades of UV damage sitting deeper in the tissue, and that's exactly why so many people spend years cycling through products without seeing the results they're hoping for.
Let’s explore what's actually driving pigmentation, why SPF is non-negotiable before anything else will work, and what a properly structured protocol using prescription-strength ingredients looks like compared to what you'll find on a shelf 👉🏼
If this is something you've been struggling to shift, it's worth having a proper conversation about it.

This is one of the conversations I have most often in clinic, and it's worth having openly.
Spending money on skincare and not seeing results isn't always about the products themselves. In my experience, there are usually a handful of very specific reasons why a routine isn't working, and most of them are fixable once you know what to look for.
I've pulled them all together in this post, from the packaging claims that genuinely don't hold up, to why more products can actually work against you, to when skincare alone isn't going to be enough for what you're trying to address.
If your routine feels like a bit of a mystery right now, this one's for you 👉🏼

Upper lip lines are one of the concerns I get asked about most in clinic, and they're also one of the most misunderstood in terms of what actually helps.
The reason a single treatment rarely gives a satisfying result here is that this area is being pulled in multiple directions at once - structurally, at the skin quality level, and through constant muscle movement every single day. A plan that only addresses one of those things will always fall short, which is why I put this guide together to walk through exactly how I approach it.
Swipe to see the full treatment breakdown, including why I always start with skin quality before anything injectable, and how conservative filler in this area is a very different conversation to what most people imagine 👉🏼
