This is why we always say it's worth looking at what you've already got before thinking about moving house.

A few months ago, this room contained a cot, a toy chair and some very bright blue walls.

Now it's a fully fitted bathroom with a walk-in shower, freestanding bath and enough space to swing a towel around without taking out a light fitting. ✨🤩

Of course, it wasn't quite that simple.

We took the room back to brickwork and started again, completely redesigning the space to work as a bathroom.

It might look straightforward in the finished photos. It wasn't. But that's building for you.

September is basically January for your house. Everyone's back to work. The kids are back at school. The house is super quiet. And you start looking around and thinking.. 'we've really got to sort that kitchen out'.

The first step is to work out what you want to change, what isn't working, and what you want the finished space to achieve.

From there, you can start looking at what's actually possible. Sometimes the solution is a full renovation. Sometimes it's a layout change. Sometimes it's something completely different to what you first thought. So it's always worth having the conversation before you've made all those decisions in your head.
