When a section of this flat roof at Cornwall Airport Newquay blew off and folded back on itself, the client needed a proper fix, fast.
We stripped the damaged area right back to the steel decking, then rebuilt it with a new warm roof build-up to bring it level again. New perimeter flashing and drip trim went in, followed by around 130m2 of Langley PMMA cold applied liquid roofing system laid over the top.
The weather played ball, and with PMMA's fast curing time, our 2 man specialist gang had it wrapped up in 5 days. Seamless, watertight, and built to last.

progressive fully supports the NFRC Cut the Dust campaign, and we've received our certificate to confirm it.
Falls from height rightly get a lot of attention in roofing. Silica dust doesn't get the same airtime, and it should. It's invisible, the effects build up over time, and it can cause lung cancer, silicosis and COPD.
The rules are clear under COSHH, and this isn't optional. But rules alone don't change what happens on a roof. Behaviour does.
Cut the Dust is about making effective dust control the standard on every job. If it creates dust, control it. If it can't be controlled, stop and rethink. And if controls aren't being used, step up and put it right.
The certificate is the easy part. The real work is what happens on site every day.
If you're a roofer, contractor or supplier, take a look at the pledge and get involved.

Details. 🔍
Six years on, and The City Arcade in the heart of Exeter still looks exactly how it should.
We completed the roofing and cladding on this 4-storey building back in 2020, and we were passing the other day and snapped some pictures. 📷
Still looking good, wouldn't you say? 💬

First event done as official partners of the Exeter City Community Trust , and it was a brilliant one to start with 🏃
We took over a spot in the race village for The Autumn Half Marathon and Autumn 5 Miles, fuelling runners with energy gels and bananas, and giving everyone a go on our new VR headsets.
Teaming up with All In Run Club , we gave away x3 free tickets to the Half Marathon. A huge congratulations to Jess, one of our winners, who stormed it as first female finisher in a brilliant 1:23:50.
Our Health & Safety Manager Ryan and former team member Rachel also took on the Half Marathon themselves.
Well done to every single runner who competed 👏
We’re already looking forward to the next one!

progressive moves up to Silver with Investors in People ⬆️
We've just been reassessed for our Investors in People accreditation, and we're pleased to share that we've moved up from Bronze to Silver.
It's a real step forward, and one that reflects the effort of everyone across progressive. Investors in People doesn't just look at policies on paper, it looks at how people actually feel about working here, and that only comes through when the team is honest about their experience.
That honesty gave us some genuinely meaningful feedback. Alongside the positives, there are clear areas we can keep improving, and we're already looking at how we build on them. That's exactly the kind of feedback we want. Standing still isn't the plan, better always is.
A special mention to Megan, for leading the process from start to finish.
How good does the Silver plaque look 🤩
People who know. People.
