Halloween Costume Swaps are back for 2026! 👻🎃

Recycle Devon is excited to be partnering up with Libraries Unlimited again this year, to bring swaps to 22 libraries across Devon!

Save money and help fight Halloween waste by swapping last year's costume for something new to you! 🧡

Many libraries are seeking donations for their starting stock, so if you have any clean, wearable costumes you no longer need, please take them along to be reused!

📆Swaps are running from the 1st-31st of October and are free to take part.
Watch to the end for a list of participating libraries 👀

🚧 Work to stabilise the cliff beside Marine Parade in Shaldon gets underway today.

The essential works are expected to take around eight weeks. For the safety of the public and workforce, Marine Parade will be closed to motorists, pedestrians and cyclists throughout the project.

🚌 A signed diversion will be in place for vehicles. Due to the local geography, there is no suitable alternative route for pedestrians.

A free shuttle bus will run between The Ness Car Park and The Strand every 20 minutes, seven days a week, from 9am to 11pm during the closure.

RSV is one of the leading causes of hospitalisation in babies, yet many people have never heard of it.

💉Before vaccination was introduced, RSV caused around 30,000 hospitalisations in children under 5 and around 9,000 hospitalisations in adults over 75, every year. The good news? The RSV vaccination programme is already making a difference, with fewer babies needing intensive care and fewer older adults being admitted to hospital.

Find out who's eligible, the symptoms to look out for, and how vaccination can help protect those most at risk. 👉 https://orlo.uk/yvMbv
