Today is World Sepsis Day

Today, we’re raising awareness of sepsis and the signs and symptoms to look out for.

Symptoms that might indicate sepsis include:

S – Slurred speech or confusion
E – Extreme shivering or muscle pain / fever
P – Passing less or no urine
S – Severe breathlessness
I – Feels like you might die
S – Skin mottled or discoloured

Knowing the signs of sepsis can help people recognise when urgent medical attention may be needed.
