Exeter Pound

Several UK towns and cities have their own currencies, to encourage the use of local businesses, support resilience and reinforce a sense of local identity. We are a working group of local dedicated people representing businesses and community groups in the Exeter area. We’d love to hear your thought, ideas and feedback on the idea of an Exeter pound. Other UK places with their own currencies include Bristol (with internet banking and mobile payments and use for council tax and buses), Brixton, Lewes, Stroud and Totnes.
