FLOW Photofest is absolutely delighted to be participating in this years Findhorn Bay Festival . Presenting work from the LVII Photography Collective celebrating 100 Years of Logie, all of the information is on the poster. Well not quite - there will be a lot happening at Logie Steading including: Sun 27 Sep - Grant Goldie of Tumble Circus performing That Man! - show time 11am and 2pm.
Sat 3 Oct - Kristyn Fontanella performing Miss Mary - show time 2pm.
The company Vision Mechanics are also on site at Logie from Tue 29 to Sun 4 Oct. with their solar mobile stage performing Circus of Dreams. Come along and have a look at some very fine photographs, take in a performance and explore the wonderful Logie Steading: with shops, gardens and walks there is a lot to do!

On Tuesday 29th September the speaker at Nairn Camera Club is Kenny Muir giving his talk on the Caledonian Forest. Guests are welcome for only £4 inc a cuppa & biscuit!

A good turn out of members viewed the Grampian Eye 2026 show last night. The judges comments for Forres images were read out. As the images were shown a consistent theme in comments emerged and it was the harshness of some comments and scores across all of the club images shown. However the audience enjoyed the show and viewing a diverse range of subjects. The images selected for Forres entry are shown. Tell us your favourite and what you are scoring it out of 20 maximum.

Next week we welcome Brian Higgs from Friends of Blairs Loch. This will be an interesting and informative evening about progress and plans for future of loch.

This week we are reviewing the Grampian Eye 2026 show images. Those who were not at the event have the opportunity to see other clubs’ work and see how each image scored. if you are interested why not come along to the Tolbooth at 7:30pm tomorrow night and join us you are assured of a warm welcome. This week members gathered for ask the expert evening. After club President Rhona Cameron welcomed members everyone broke into groups where camera settings, use of filters and photo editing were discussed amongst other things. The evening passed quickly and experts were thanked for their help.

Next week we will view the Grampian Eye 2026

The images from the Thursday night wanders and other trips entertained members last night, some images triggered discussion and even revealed a couple of locations to be visited. Thank you to all who contributed.

Next week is a practical night so camera, tripod and supplementary lighting will be required. There is also opportunity to find out about camera, techniques or any photo related query. Send questions in advance to club secretary by 3pm on Thursday. A reminder to members that Open 1 competition prints and PDI images are to be handed in.

Tonight members will view images taken during the Thursday wanders. No doubt we will see some interesting images and someone will have an image of that will ‘embarrass’ someone.
