🌧️ Flooding can happen quickly and often with little warning.
If flooding is forecast:
✅ Check flood warnings and weather updates.
✅ Avoid walking, driving, or entering floodwater.
✅ Keep children and pets away from swollen rivers and burns.
✅ Have an emergency plan and know your safest route to higher ground.
✅ In an emergency, call 999 and ask for the appropriate rescue service.
Just 15cm of fast-moving water can knock an adult off their feet, and deeper floodwater can hide serious hazards beneath the surface.
Stay informed, stay prepared, and never underestimate the power of moving water.

Swift Water Rescue – Advanced Refresher Training
Great couple of days on the rivers running an Advanced Swift Water Rescue Refresher on the River Moriston and River Findhorn.
It was excellent to work alongside members of Torridon Mountain Rescue and Dundonnell Mountain Rescue, putting skills through their paces in dynamic river environments. From technical rope work and boat handling to live rescue scenarios, the level of professionalism and teamwork on display was outstanding.
A huge congratulations to everyone involved for maintaining such a high standard of competence and operational currency in demanding conditions.
Strong teams, strong skills, and a shared commitment to keeping people safe around water.

🧊 Cold Water Therapy Instructor 🥶

This course includes a 1 day Wild Swimming Safety course, which covers theory and practice in the river. You’ll learn to identify hazards, complete dynamic assessments, and perform low-risk rescues. The following day, you’ll attend a therapeutic Cold Water Facilitator session. This session will cover the medical benefits and complications of cold water immersion and how to manage safe cold water immersion both physically and psychologically.
These courses have been developed by us and Kevin O'Neil of - this course is certified by Rescue 3 Europe to cover all the requirements people may encounter when taking people into cold water.
An important skill to learn is spotting and identifying Hazards 👀💀💦
