Today we have been helping out at Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens Charity Classic Car Show.

It was great to see so many people supporting this great event. And the weather was great too!

Are you taking part in this year's Big Butterfly Count? 🦋

The is a UK wide citizen science survey that has been running since 2010. This year's Big Butterfly Count runs from July 17th to August 9th.

Here’s how to take part:

😎 Find a sunny spot
⌚ Spend 15 minutes spotting butterflies and moths (there's a handy guide to help you identify species on the website)
📱 Record how many and what species you see

Butterflies love the warm weather so it's a great opportunity to get outdoors with the kids and get counting! 😎🌻

July 1st marks the start of a new Rotary year.

We had a lovely sunny summer’s evening for our handover yesterday.

Last year we supported Essex Dementia Care, End Polio Now, Mercy Ships and The Rotary Foundation. We also helped out with events at The Wilderness Foundation and Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens.

Congratulations to Howard on a great year as President. Wishing Nick the very best as he takes on the role — we're looking to another successful year!

A big thank you to everyone who came along and supported our Film and TV Quiz on Saturday - despite the heatwave and the fact that England were playing that evening! We hope you all had a great time.

We had a wide range of questions covering topics such as children’s TV characters, sitcoms, songs from musicals and science fiction.

It was a close fought competition with the lead changing hands a few times and only a couple of points between the winners and the runners up.

Also, a very big thank you to Simpkins Jewellers for sponsoring the event and enabling us to raise more money for The Rotary Foundation.
