🌴 𝐈’𝐌 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊! 🌴

After a lovely break away, I’m now back home — but after travelling, I’m definitely in need of a little rest and recovery before getting back into work mode! 💗

I’ll be returning messages, enquiries and appointment queries from Monday 21st September and will work through everything as quickly as I can.

𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫: 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐚 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲. Although it is unbelevable how many pets I manage to help as one person, I do take time to respond!

If I were to ask you what your pets last weight was- could you tell me a number?

It’s something that’s not often encouraged for pet owners to keep track of. However, it’s important to notice changes- increases and decreases alike.

Especially as pets age! My guys get a weight check every 4 - 6 weeks. Much to their disappointment. It means I can see if their dad has been paying too much in cheese tax- which is a big no no! 🤣

Last week I visited Sonny. I had mentioned getting his Christmas appointment in the diary to his owner “so his bottom isn’t smelly for Santa paws visiting”

Based on how he is looking at me, I maybe hit a nerve with that comment 🤣

FIREWORK PREP: PART 1 — START NOW!

Firework season might still feel a little way off, but now is the perfect time to start preparing your pets. 💜

One of the things you can do is gradually introduce your pet to the sounds of fireworks while they’re still feeling safe and relaxed.

🔊 Start with firework sounds at a VERY low volume.

Put on a recording of fireworks while your pet is relaxed at home. The sound should be so quiet that they barely notice it.

💗 Pair the sounds with something positive — treats, play, cuddles or simply relaxing together.

This will desensitise them to the sounds of fireworks before they start. Which as we know from previous years as of late, it’s going to start becoming an issue from late September!

Follow these steps to help your pet cope better on the night. 💜

𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭-𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 💜

This will upset those I have had to turn away the last couple of weeks- sadly, the last two weeks I have seen a high amount of cancellations. Followed by disappointment that I cannot fit them in again sooner than October.

I’ve had 𝟓 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭-𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 this week alone, many 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟓 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.

When an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, it’s extremely difficult to fill that space at short notice — meaning another client misses out and that appointment time goes unpaid.

Please remember that 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞. These policies are in place to protect my time and allow me to continue offering appointments to those in need!
