The Pampered Pets team would love to congratulate Duncan and Belinda on their wedding! ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿฅ‚

We had such a special time celebrating with them at their evening reception. How smart does Duncanโ€™s Angus look in his Mccorquodale tartan bandana, made by our very own Nina ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘

Wishing Duncan and Belinda a lifetime of happiness together. Lots of love from all of us! โค๏ธ

๐Ÿพ A Calm Mind Can Help Create a Calmer Dog ๐Ÿพ

At Pampered Pets and Highland Canine Coaching, we have always believed that supporting our dogs begins with understanding how they feel and what they need to feel safe, happy and calm.

Our dogs notice so much about us, from our body language and movements to our tone of voice and the way we feel. Learning to pause and respond calmly can help us guide them with greater understanding, clarity and love.

This is why we would love to introduce you to Starlight Wellness Centre. ๐Ÿ’œ

Bren and Anita are sound healers at Starlight, where they welcome people who are feeling anxious, stressed or overwhelmed, offering a peaceful space to rest and take time for themselves.

Bren has spent many years studying canine behaviour, with a particular focus on our pets emotions and how these influence their behaviour.
She also offers sound healing for dogs. Through her coaching work, she has seen how supporting pet parents can help them feel calmer and more confident when guiding their dogs through everyday challenges.

This has inspired her to bring her canine coaching and her work at Starlight together, supporting the wellbeing of both pets and the people who love them.

Colin, Connor and Bren share a belief in the value of taking time for our own wellbeing. Through Meditation, Gentle Breathing, Qi Gong, Sound Baths, Tradition Chinese medicine and other wellbeing activities, Starlight offers opportunities to slow down, practise stillness and become more present.

Slowing our breathing and releasing tension can help soften our voice, movements and posture.
These calmer signals may help our dogs feel more at ease, from whatever is causing their anxiety and offering the understanding, support and guidance they need.

If your dog feels worried around another dog, a visitor or somewhere unfamiliar, begin by giving them enough space to feel comfortable. Take a gentle breath, relax your shoulders and allow them time to look around without pressure. Be ready to move somewhere quieter if they need it. These quiet moments together can help you recognise what they need and respond with care.

We want pet parents to feel supported too. Caring for a worried or easily overwhelmed dog can be emotionally demanding, and you deserve the same kindness and understanding you offer your dog.

Giving yourself time to rest, breathe and receive support can help you guide your dog with patience and compassion as you help them feel safe, understood, loved and supported.

Over the coming weeks, we will introduce you to our Starlight team and share the activities, therapies and treatments we offer, helping you find space to unwind, grow in confidence and care for your own wellbeing.
Alongside care and Calm Choices coaching tailored to your dogโ€™s needs, these small moments of care for yourself can help you build a calmer, more connected life with your dog. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿพ
