Since the firm was established in 1983, Casey Construction has met the needs of Orkney’s thriving farming sector, having built countless agricultural buildings and slatted courts, as well as supplying our own concrete slats.

Our state-of-the-art joinery workshop is the only one of its kind in Orkney, equipped with a range of high-tech machinery.
That means our team of skilled joiners can create everything from doors and windows and made-to-measure frames and trusses, through to highly accurate timberwork and bespoke detailing using Casey Construction’s Masterwood 5-axis CNC Router.

Ongoing work at the Orkney Island Council offices, situated on School Place.
The original chimney was expertly, & safely, dismantled & a perfect copy was rebuilt in its place. When in place, along with repointing and replacing the chimney, it ensures the history of the building is conserved while the structure is sound.

We were tasked with repairing, cleaning, renovating and conserving areas of the buildings external fabric Including walls, roofs, chimneys, skews, window & door surrounds and lighting.
Pictured is touch up work and repointing on walls and window surrounds.

We’re continuing vital conservation work on the historic Orkney Islands Council offices at School Place, a building with deep roots in Kirkwall’s past.
Our latest focus? The meticulous removal, repair, and reinstatement of the building’s skews, ensuring proper flashings and lead work are in place to protect this iconic structure for years to come. From repairing damaged stone to replicating original features, every detail is carefully crafted to honour its heritage while securing its future.
