We understand the loss of a beloved companion is the same as losing a family member, we give you the peace of mind that your companion will be lovingly cared for on their final journey, with the respect and dignity they deserve.

🐾 Sometimes, love finds us again. Losing a beloved dog leaves a space in our hearts that can feel impossible to fill.
And yet, sometimes, another dog comes into our lives when we least expect it. They bring their own personality, their own little quirks, and a completely new kind of love — while somehow reminding us of the one we lost.
Maybe they aren’t replacing the dog we lost. Maybe they are simply showing us that our hearts can love again. Have you ever felt that a new dog was somehow meant to find you?

In Memory of Hugo 🌈🐾
Losing a beloved pet is a pain that is difficult to put into words. Hugo was a beautiful, much-loved boy, and his family wanted to make sure he was cared for with the same love and dignity he had always known.
With Springfield Pet Cremation, arrangements were made for Hugo to pass peacefully at home, surrounded by the people who loved him. His family were then given time to say goodbye before we gently brought him into our care.
Throughout those difficult days, Lisa and Jacqui stayed in touch, keeping the family informed and checking in with them along the way. Two days later, Hugo was lovingly returned home to his family.
Run free, beautiful boy. You were clearly very loved, and you will never be forgotten.

🐾 MEET JACQUI 🐾
Here is the other story, "Behind the Scenes at Pet Cremation", from our Jacqui:
“My day starts with my dog Betsy with breakfast and a little exercise before heading over to Springfield. Lisa and I then walk Betsy, Fern and Heidi (Lisa and Martin's two dogs) and discuss the day ahead, followed by a quick coffee with us all to finalise the details of our day
Lisa and I are often the friendly faces and voices families meet first. We answer calls and emails, welcome visitors, and help families through what can be an incredibly difficult time.
I also spend time preparing pets for their cremation, taking paw and nose prints, fur clippings and carefully recording their details. Every little detail matters because we know how much these memories mean to families.
I help prepare the special mementoes that go home with each pet’s ashes, making sure everything is just right.
Most importantly, I love being part of a team 🙂 that cares deeply about pets and the people who love them.
That’s a little glimpse into my day at Springfield.”

Meet our furry friends. These lovely faces are part of life here at Springfield Pet Cremation. When we moved here in 2018, we knew that this place was very special. We wanted to share this space with animals. We also wanted some help to keep the grass down. We purchased three Ouessant sheep (the smallest sheep in the world).
Our first three sheep were one female and two males, whom we named Judy (Brown), Graeme (black) and Tim (white). We sent Judy to be tupped the next year and she had a little lamb called Rosie (small white one). The next year Judy gave birth to a male called Fred (mid brown). They are all a very close knit family! 😊
Sheep stay together all the time; they are all friendly and like a little stroke or, in Graeme's case, a cuddle. They all enjoy a walk in the fields with Martin, Lisa and their two dogs Fern and Heidi. They enjoy a good breakfast: a muesli mix. They actually prefer to eat this rather than keeping the grass down, so their paddock still needs to be mowed from time to time.
We initially purchased a small shelter for them, but now that the family has grown, they need a bigger space. Martin has taken it upon himself to build them a new shelter for this coming winter.

In Loving Memory of Maggie 🤍🐾
Today, we remember the beautiful Maggie, a much-loved girl who was so much more than a pet. She was a cherished member of her family and brought so much love into their home.
Maggie was clearly the best dog and will be deeply missed.
Run free, beautiful Maggie. 🐾🌈
You were very loved, and you always will be.

🐾 MEET MARTIN🐾
You’ve probably wondered, “What actually goes on behind the scenes at Springfield Pet Cremation. Well, today we’re introducing you to one of the people who helps make it all happen - Martin.
Martin is very much a hands-on part of the Springfield Pet Cremation team. He helps with collecting your beloved companions, takes care of them throughout their final journey and carries out the cremation process with the dignity, care and respect every pet deserves.
But Martin’s job doesn’t stop there…
As Springfield is based at Springfield Croft, our home in the peaceful countryside of Knowle, there’s always plenty happening around the place too. And when you have a love for animals and running a small, independent, family-owned business, there’s always something to do, right 🙂
Martin is also one of the friendly faces you may meet when your pet comes into our care. Several of our families have mentioned Martin by name in their reviews, describing the compassion, kindness and care they experienced from him and the whole team.
So next time you see Martin around Springfield, you’ll know a little more about the person behind the scenes.
That’s Martin - part of the Springfield Pet Cremation family.

In Memory of Sidney🐾💚
Sidney was the loveliest, gentlest chap you could ever hope to meet. A Golden Guernsey goat with a flowing, sun-catching golden coat, he spent his happiest hours lazing in the sun alongside his brother Thomas and sister Audrey. He took his role as uncle seriously too, watching over Audrey's two kids, Doc and Ellie, with quiet, caring patience.
Sidney had a real talent for finding just the right spot to relax, yet he was always among the first to greet visitors with his big, unmistakable smile. If any goat ever deserved the title "gentleman," it was him. Over the years, he lost a few teeth, and somehow his smile only grew more beautiful because of it.
Sidney loved when visitors gently held his face while he gazed into their eyes, and anyone who met him knew he returned that love tenfold. He showed it the only way he knew how: a quiet, soulful look that comes naturally to animals who spend their days surrounded by people who love them, just as ours do here at The Rescue Ranch.
The Springfield Pet Cremation team were honoured to be entrusted with Sidney’s care afterwards. His individual farm animal cremation was carried out with dignity, respect and gentleness. He was treated with the same love and care that had surrounded him throughout his life.
Sleep tight, beautiful Sidney 🐾🌈
