Before we move into the 26/27 season, it's time to take a look back at our first ever season over the last year!

What a year it's been for our history-making Women's Team. From four players taking part in a Pitch Up and Play last April, to over 40 players pulling on a Burley shirt this season, playing our first 7s tournament, 15 a-side fixtures, home matches, Inner Warrior Festivals, and now a full season, it's truly been a year of firsts!

As well as eight fixtures as Burley, we have supported and been supported by friends from across Yorkshire and beyond, including , , and plenty more to get more women playing rugby. From a sold out Twickenham to a bustling Abbey, we love being part of this community.

We could never have imagined that we would have had such an incredible season, and we can't wait to see what this season has in store. We'd like to say a huge thank you to everybody who has made it possible, from our volunteers, committee members, oppositions, coaches, supporters and most importantly teammates.

PRE-SEASON NEWBIE NIGHTS
The first four training sessions of our women's pre-season training will be newbie nights!

4th August

19:00-20:00 at Burley RUFC clubhouse, LS5 3NG

All abilities are welcome but if you're brand new to rugby and you're looking for somewhere to start, our newbie nights are perfect for you. We're a friendly and welcoming team, with most of our players having never played before joining Burley!

Training is every Tuesday and we play social Sunday games as part of the Inner Warrior league🏉
