WE DID IT! ⛰️💚

After months of planning and preparation, we’ve officially completed the National Three Peaks Challenge in memory of our skipper, Tom Johnson.

An incredible effort from everyone involved, with a special mention to the four lads who completed all three peaks in under 24 hours. An unbelievable achievement that sums up the determination, resilience and togetherness of this team. 👏

During the challenge we came across a sticker that simply read

“Sport has the power to unite.”

It couldn’t have been more fitting.

This challenge brought together teammates, friends, family and complete strangers. It reminded us that football is about far more than 90 minutes on a Sunday morning. It’s about the people you meet, the memories you create, the support you give each other, and the strength you find when everyone pulls in the same direction.

We climbed these mountains in memory of Tom, and every step was driven by the support we’ve received from everyone following our journey.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Hodgie, who selflessly took on the responsibility of driving us between each mountain. Spending countless hours behind the wheel so the rest of us could rest and recover was every bit as important to completing the challenge as the climbs themselves. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without you, Sam. 💚

Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared our posts, sent messages of support or cheered us on along the way. It has meant more than you’ll ever know.

There’s still time to donate. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us continue Tom’s legacy and supports the causes we’re raising money for.

This week’s pre-season looks a little different as the lads swap football boots for walking boots and take on one of the biggest challenges of the summer.

Tomorrow we set off to conquer Ben Nevis, the first mountain of our Three Peaks Challenge, in memory of our friend and teammate Tom Johnson.

This is about so much more than football. Every step we take is for Tom, while raising money for the Tom Johnson Legacy Fund and supporting the club.

A truly deserved celebration at our awards night last night, although we’re sure there were a few sore heads this morning! The lads more than deserve it tho after what has been an exceptional season🍻

Before we sign off on what has been an incredible season, we’d like to remember our skipper, Tom Johnson.

Tom was more than just a captain. He was one of the foundations of this club, a leader on and off the pitch, and a friend to so many of us. Losing him earlier this year was devastating, but throughout the season we carried his memory with us every step of the way.

The togetherness, determination and spirit shown by this group is everything Tom embodied. While we’re proud to have completed the double, the greatest achievement has been coming together as a team and a club during the toughest of times.

These trophies are for you, Skip. You’ll always be part of The Horns. 💚

We’d also like to thank everyone who has supported us throughout the season. From our supporters who followed us week in, week out, to our sponsors who backed us from day one, your support means everything.

And a very special thank you to Simon, Karen and everyone at The Horns Inn. Your continued support ever since our days at The Blewitt has been incredible, and we can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for the club.

We’ve brought home two trophies this season, but we’re already looking forward to the next challenge.

A season to remember. 🏆🏆

League champions and cup winners. The double secured.

What started out 5 years ago as a group of mates wanting to build something, winning a cup in our first season to nearly folding at the end of the last, we have turned this season into a season we’ll never forget. Every player, supporter, sponsor and person behind the scenes has played a part in what this club has achieved this year.

From the cold Sunday mornings, the Tesco Arena classics, the questionable refereeing decisions, the last-minute winners, the cup run, the celebrations and everything in between — this season had it all.

A massive thank you as well to Simon, Karen and everyone at The Horns Inn, who have welcomed and looked after us every week ever since the Blewitt days. Your hospitality and support for the lads has been unbelievable and the club genuinely wouldn’t be what it is today without you all behind us. 💚💛

To everyone who’s supported us throughout the year, whether that’s coming to games, sharing posts, sponsoring the club, helping with events or simply backing the lads every week, thank you. It genuinely means everything to us.

This club keeps growing every season and that’s because of the people around it. We’ve created memories this year that will stick with us for a long time.
