This past week one of our automation engineers has been modifying the software for the programming of a .

The flow meter counted the volume of all liquid that passed through it. After the initial installation, the customer wanted the data to be more specific and only count the product and nothing else.

We modified the code remotely, so the flow totaliser only records a flow when milk is passing through the flow meter, and not when water is passing through the system in CIP mode.

Completing this kind of minor works remotely is a real cost saving for the customer, considering there is no time spent onsite completing wide inductions, interrupting any process or staff unnecessarily, or incurring any additional travel costs.

Neil Taylor our IT Infrastructure Engineer has been working very hard, together with input from various staff, on developing a bespoke ‘Project and Service Management’ system for ECS.

Currently Neil is in the process of developing a ‘Risk Assessment’ questionnaire for any form of service visit which will increase safety and simplify the process of going to a customers’ site.

We can't wait to see the end result and how this will benefit ECS😆

Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a good break. We’re straight back to it at ECS and working on upcoming customer projects.

We’ve have been working hard on building four panels for one of our customers to operate a hydraulic power unit for a bridge, to allow boats to pass safely underneath. We’ll be installing these in the coming weeks.
