🇲🇾 We recently submitted our response to the National AI Office consultation on Malaysia’s proposed AI Governance Bill.
This marks an important step towards developing a comprehensive legal framework for the safe use of AI in healthcare. A clear governance framework is essential to encourage innovation while maintaining public confidence.
However, the proposed Bill would benefit from greater clarity in some areas, including on liability arrangements should AI contribute to patient harm.

While it’s positive to see many cases that don’t meet the criteria for investigations are being closed early, the General Medical Council’s latest stats on Fitness to Practise investigations show a marked increase in referrals in 2025. 📈
