So we have now started the colony in Belle isle ,taken nearly 2 weeks to try work out who the mum is to the kittens, kittens not seen since they were first reported but eventually after leaving different feeding stations with cameras, knocking doors we now know who is who 🙄
So today we have 3 babies and 2 to find.
We will now trap all the adults except the mum whilst trying to find the kittens.

Want to say thankyou to The Blakey Brothers
For their donation of £250 from the raffle they did.
Thankyou you also to some of our supporters who bought tickets .xx

This will cover the cost of 2 Males neutering for the colony we are trapping.
Every little helps 😁

As most of you know we do alot of colonies and it drains our funds because its constant money going out.
I dont think people realise how much colonies cost and we are a self funding Charity.
Here are just a few of the colonies we have TNR and the costs.
Most people are aware there are lots of cats/kittens on these colonies that have undesended testicles due to interbreeding , injury, infections, females that are maybe 1 week pregnant which means the cost of spaying goes up dramatically.
We have had lots of these situations in the colonies we've trapped.

Castleford colony- 90 cats and kittens trapped ,cost £14,300.00

Ledston colony- 11 cats and kittens trapped, cost £ 1,700.00

South milford colony-21 cats and kittens trapped, cost £1,300.00

Armley canal colony- 7 cats,cost £983.00

TNR is not cheap especially when you have so many cats needing vet treatments on top too.

Thankyou everyone that supports us xx

We were contacted by a lovely lady about this poor little soul, They have fed her for 8 yrs but never able to get close to her.
They made sure she had plenty of food daily and left their shed open with beds in for shelter.
The lady noticed she had stopped eating and loosing alot of weight so contacted a few big rescues over a week ago who offered no help.
In that time she had got worse and had flies on her and black mucus and blood coming out of her mouth, nose and eyes.
We went yesterday to try trap her but she wasnt interested in food and after an attempt to grab her she ran. We told the lady if shes in the shed in the morning no matter how early to call me and lock her in.
I could see yesterday she really couldn't breath and really suffering.
I got a call this morning at 7 to say she was in the shed so we went straight over.
Shes now at the vets and I already knew the outcome for her wasnt good. 😪
Shes around 11 years old , she blood and gunk pouring out of everywhere, really emaciated and couldn't breath. Her nose was swollen and the noises were awful.
We left her with the vet who will check her over but like me they knew.

It as to be the first time ever I have ever thought this poor cat is suffering so much and honestly didnt know how she was still alive .
Absolutely heartbreaking and all because of humans yet again.
We use to be a nation of animal lovers but now sadly we are no longer 😡
The vets will ring me to update me.

We need fosters asap and I need more hours in a day 🙄
So we have a colony in Middlton to trap, we have a heavily pregnant female but no space.
We have a mum with 2 x 3-4 week old kittens and no space.
The other cats can all be TNR but we need foster now.
We also have a pregnant mum that already as 2 x 14 week old kittens being given away we need foster for.

We have a mum and kittens arriving tomorrow which we've found space for.

If anyone can foster please contact me asap.
A spare room is all you need .
We supply food, litter, toys and pay vet bills.

He had mites and fleas and a burst abcess that spread from his eye to his ear but has been treated and now on the mend.

He's not too happy with his cone but is in good hands now and will not suffer again.👏👏

The big night is Sunday night at 8.00pm when we draw the raffle to win a tractor.
