Happy Yorkshire Day! ๐
Today we're celebrating the county that continues to inspire incredible stories and the talented people who bring them to life.
From world-class television dramas and feature films to exciting new voices breaking into the industry, Yorkshire is home to a screen sector built on creativity, collaboration and ambition. It's the locations that stop you in your tracks, the crews working behind the scenes, the writers creating unforgettable stories, and the businesses and suppliers helping productions happen every day.
At Screen Yorkshire, we're proud to support the people, places and productions that make our region one of the UK's leading centres for screen.
Over the coming weeks, we're also excited to launch a new series of Crew Spotlights, shining a light on some of the incredible professionals working across Yorkshire's screen industries. Keep an eye on our channels as we meet the talented people helping bring film and television to life across the region.
Happy Yorkshire Day!

Last night, Screen Yorkshire brought together industry professionals and participants from our two most recent Skills Bootcamp cohorts for an evening of speed networking.
It was fantastic to see so many new connections being made, conversations started and opportunities shared. Events like these are all about bringing people together and helping to build a stronger, more connected screen industry across Yorkshire.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along, to all of our industry partners for giving up their time to meet with our cohorts, to Archive for hosting us, and to Anthony for capturing the evening so brilliantly.
We can't wait to see where these new connections lead.

If you work in TV, you know.
Today Action for Freelancers publish Contact: A Guide to Work-Life Boundaries - seven shared principles on out-of-hours contact, backed by Banijay UK, BBC, BBC Studios, Bectu, Channel 4, CIISA, Fremantle, ITV, ITV Studios, and UKTV.
No new tech. No cost to budgets. Just clearer habits and shared expectations - for everyone on a production, commissioners included. And it is not a ban on flexible working: work the pattern that suits you, just donโt let it become someone elseโs pressure.
