Tomorrow night is Wednesday, which means it’s VINT Night! 🇬🇧
VINT – Veterans In Need Together is a Leeds-based veteran mental health support group, bringing veterans together in a relaxed, friendly environment where no one has to face life’s challenges alone.
Whether you’ve been before or you’re thinking of coming along for the first time, you’ll always receive a warm welcome. Join us for a brew, a chat, and the chance to meet other veterans who understand the unique experiences of military life.
There’s no pressure, no judgement, and no expectation—just good company, mutual support, and a place where you can be yourself.
If you’re a veteran looking for a bit of camaraderie, someone to talk to, or simply somewhere to spend your Wednesday evening, why not come along and see what VINT is all about?
Sometimes, the hardest part is walking through the door—but you’ll never have to do it alone.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow evening. You’re always welcome.
❤️🖤 You know what we love? A bit of out-of-the-box thinking when it comes to improving the mental health and overall wellbeing of our local veterans.
One thing we’ve found that really helps is getting involved in projects that encourage us to get out of the house, work together, and create something we’re proud of.
We’ve adopted a train station (although, thanks to a bit of red tape, we haven’t been able to do as much there as we’d hoped… it keeps stopping us in our tracks! 🚉😅). We’re also in the process of restoring a local war memorial, and now we’re excited to introduce our latest project…
🌱 Welcome to VINT’s New Allotment! 🌱
When one of our members told us about a vacant allotment next to his that was in need of some TLC, we jumped at the opportunity.
Thanks to everyone who supports us by taking part in our Hook-a-Duck, raffles, and other fundraising events, we’ve been able to use your generous donations to make this project happen. Every ticket you buy helps us create opportunities like this for our veterans.
We all know that getting outside and keeping active is great for both our physical and mental health, but there’s something even more rewarding about spending time on an allotment and literally watching your achievements grow before your eyes.
We’re probably a little late in the season to grow much this year, but that won’t stop us. Over the coming months we’ll be clearing, tidying, and getting everything ready so that when spring arrives, we’ll be ready to get planting.
We can’t wait to get stuck in, share our progress with you all, and hopefully enjoy plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables, and great company along the way. 🌿💚
Thank you for helping us make projects like this possible. Your support really is changing lives.

What is it with bowling? There’s always that one dark horse who ends up winning… and unfortunately, it’s never me! 😂🎳
We had an amazing evening at this month’s Social Club, full of laughs, friendly competition, and great company.
A huge thank you to Councillor Jon Graves for his very kind donation, which helped fund this month’s Social Club. Your generosity and support of local veterans is truly appreciated and helped make it such a fantastic evening for everyone. 🖤❤️

I’m not saying I’ll do anything to win bowling tonight at our veterans’ social club… but I may be distracting the competition with terrible jokes, celebrating every spare like it’s a world record, and blaming the lane if all else fails. 🎳😆
May the best bowler win… preferably me! 😂

You know what I think is amazing about VINT? Our community.
Yesterday, one of our newer members came to us with an incredible idea and project that we could potentially get involved in something that could benefit so many of our other members. Nothing’s decided or set in stone just yet 🤐, but it’s a fantastic example of how peer to peer support really works.
Someone has to steer the ship, but it’s every single person on board who helps shape the journey. Every member brings something valuable, and together we make a real difference to our veteran community.
Why not join one of our three support groups tomorrow and see it for yourself? Come and discover just how incredible our members really are.

Another week, another opportunity to prioritise your mental health.
I don’t know about you, but I’m knee deep in the school holidays. The constant requests for snacks, the endless noise… and yesterday I even had to perform emergency surgery on a dinosaur. 🦖
All of that just makes me look forward to Wednesday evening. It’s not exactly peaceful (let’s be honest, it’s definitely not!), but at least no one asks me to play Barbies.
Our weekly veterans’ support group is a chance to reset, spend time with people who get it, talk through anything that’s on your mind or just enjoy a brew and a laugh. You’ll head home feeling that little bit lighter and happier.
Why not come and join us? We welcome new members every week, so you don’t need to worry about being the new face. From the moment you walk through the door, you’ll be made to feel welcome.
Sometimes, all it takes is a coffee and good company. ☕🇬🇧
