For generations, a dram wasn’t just a drink — it came in a traditional measure known as a gill. And the familiar ¼ gill worked out at around 35ml.

Over the years, pub measures changed and 25ml became the standard in many bars, meaning that old-fashioned 35ml serve became much less common.

But at The Crown Inn, Leven, we quite like doing things the traditional way…

👑 THE ¼ GILL IS BACK!

We’ve brought back the 35ml measure for our gin, vodka, wh**ky and rum — 40% more spirit than a 25ml measure.

A wee nod to how pubs used to do it, brought back to The Crown. 🥃

35ml measures — now pouring at The Crown Inn.
