Stef joined the Platform 3 team on 19th October 2017, meaning she’ll be celebrating 9 years behind the bar next month! 🍻

Over the years, she’s become one of those familiar faces that makes Platform 3 what it is.

She's mum to two boys, so we're fairly confident she's already got plenty of experience keeping a room full of people under control... 😂

You'll find her behind the bar most weeks, probably with a story to tell and definitely with something to say.

This month's Malt of the Month has made the journey to Platform 3.

Bunnahabhain Islay Single Malt Scotch Wh**ky 12 Year Old is on the bar. A rich and characterful Islay single malt, and one that's well worth stopping for.

Nose: Fresh coastal air, dried fruit, nuts and a gentle touch of vanilla.

Palate: Rich and smooth, with dried fruit, toasted nuts, vanilla and a subtle hint of salt.

Finish: Long, warming and lightly coastal, with a gentle sweetness.

Morning

On Wednesday I’ll be visiting Dunblane, Stirling, Larbert, Falkirk and Linlithgow. It should be a fascinating day taking in some of Scotland’s historic towns, from Dunblane with its magnificent cathedral, Stirling and its iconic castle, Falkirk with the famous Kelpies, and Linlithgow, home to the birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots.

This time I’ll be focusing on pubs, calling in at a selection across each stop to see what they have to offer.
