Every so often, I give a dog a little time to shine and today I feel like Buddy needs his moment š„¹
Buddy became a part of the yes k9 family about 8 years ago, originally for training and then moved on to join our walks. He is without a doubt our most confident and enthusiastic dog!
Buddy loves to explore, loves making new friends(and making love to those new friends..šš¤£) and overall just loves life! Nothing phases him at all, which makes him such a fantastic dog to use for introducing new potential friends into our group walks. I always say, if your dog can handle Buddy, theyāll be able to handle the rest of them š
Although Buddy can be a little *too* enthusiastic when meeting new friends, he actually will also listen if they want him to back off! And actually after the first time they meet, he never gets quite as excited to see them after that š¤£
One of my favourite things about Buddy is just how excited he gets when I come to pick him up for his walks, even though over the years Iāve wound up with plenty burst lips, or bloody noses from his head meeting my face when I walk in š¤£ his excitement has never faltered, he just loves getting to go out!
Buddy brings so much life to our walks, even now when heās slowing down a little! He is so much fun to walk and Iām so glad he has been with us all these years ā¤ļø
Our senior boys, walks may not be as fast paced and rowdy anymore but they still very much have a great time!
9 years of working with Buddy and I still have to protect my face when he jumps though š

A big massive congratulations to Bertie who has been adopted by his foster owners! š
Honestly, I donāt think he couldāve landed in a better home. Bertie had major anxiety that even medication could barely helpā¦ he also required someone who would give him so much time and patience to help him through it all. With being such a big dog as well as being so strong and could also easily come off intimidating if you donāt know him, itās a massive responsibility to take on. His now owners gave him the time and worked so hard to gain his trust, to help him through his troubles and heās coming out the other side and slowly off his medsā¤ļø
He deserves the best home and thatās exactly what he got. His owners are saints, to take in a dog who was so scared of every little noise and movement to where he can now settle in his home and enjoy being outside without worrying that everything is out to get him. Itās not easy but itās always, always worth it to wind up with a dog like Bertie! šš„°
I wish Bertie and his owners a lifetime of happiness together ā¤ļø
