Inspired by the migration stories of our artists and the communities we work with, Taking Flight: The Homecoming took to Africa Oyé for a weekend we’ll never forget.
Alongside our incredible professional dancers and community flock, audiences experienced The Nest - our brand new immersive sound installation and performance space.
Over the weekend:
✨ 700 people experienced the walkabout performance
🎨 150 people got creative in our craft workshops
💃 50 people joined us for dance workshops
Seeing so many people stop, watch, create, dance and connect is exactly what Taking Flight is all about.
And this is only the beginning...
We’re working to take this version of Taking Flight on tour, with an exciting announcement coming very soon. Keep your eyes peeled as we prepare to bring the performance to Kensington this September.

We’ve been delivering Dancing Around the World workshops at Greenbank College enrichment sessions for kids with ASD and/or physical disabilities, including wheelchair users.
We loved seeing participants growing more confident and familiar with the moves, which we adapted to suit individual needs and to include kids with smaller range of movements.
The kids enjoyed it so much that the school decided to extend the number of sessions to the whole summer term.
