The Community Foundation for Merseyside is for donors, for communities and for Merseyside.

Our vision is to help to build stronger communities in Merseyside by addressing the real needs and areas of disadvantage which exist in the region. In 2017 we celebrated 18 years of supporting local communities through connecting donors with the places and causes that they care about.

Yesterday we joined the High Sheriff of Merseyside, Hazel Snell, on a visit to local organisations in Knowsley to see how they support young people and families. Our first stop was Vibe UK Org.

In Knowsley, more than half of all neighbourhoods are among the highest in England for unmet youth need. Vibe is helping to fill that gap, and a £1,244 High Sheriffs Trust award is helping young people from Northwood build trust with the police, learn their rights and gain the confidence to lead the conversation, through their own podcast, Vibin' wid Vibe.

Thank you to Helen, Chris and the Vibe team for the energetic welcome.

Almost 1 million young people in the UK are not in education, employment or training.

Yesterday, 600+ people packed into Boxpark Liverpool to do something about it. 💙

Raise Up put young people, employers and leaders in one room for a day of honest conversation and practical ideas.

It was a pleasure to be there alongside Football For Change, headline sponsors of the day, to see what happens when a city rallies around its young people. ⚽

One of only 8 specialist spinal injury rehabilitation centres in England is right here in the North West.

Recently, James Proctor and Kelly Roberts visited Aspire's Spinal Centre in Southport to meet Emily and Louise. 💙

Aspire were awarded £10,000 from Pilkington's Charities Fund to help patients with hand and arm paralysis from high-level spinal cord injuries independently access their devices. 🙌

In memory of the 719 colleagues lost on 9/11, BGC hosts an annual charity day where every trade and 100% of global revenues are donated straight to charity❤️.

It’s National Food Bank Day and the need has never been greater.

Last year Trussell reported, 300,000 food parcels, a 22% increase since 2019!

At CFLM, we've worked with donors to award over £955,000 to projects tackling food poverty across Lancashire and Merseyside, but amid rising costs there’s still so much more to do.
