What a few days it’s been! 💙
We’ve had a little time to process it, and we’re still not sure we’ve quite found the words.
To stand inside Hill Dickinson Stadium and see On Your Side was an incredibly proud moment for us at Chasing the Stigma. A project that has involved so many people, so much work and so many conversations had gone from an idea on a screen to something being seen, talked about and embraced by people from across the world of sport.
And seeing our Hub of Hope right there throughout the event made it even more special!
We’re incredibly proud to have worked alongside The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales and BSI to co-produce this su***de prevention toolkit, created to give everyone involved in sport the confidence, knowledge and practical tools to look out for one another.
But the launch was just one moment in a much bigger piece of work.
As our CEO and Founder, Jake Mills, said: “This toolkit can and will save lives. But it is now up to all of us to build on yesterday and make sure we commit to what it sets out.”
Now comes the next chapter, seeing On Your Side put into action across sport and helping make su***de prevention part of everyday conversations.
We’re so proud to be part of it 💙

Whatever your role in sport, you could be the person who starts a conversation that makes a difference 💙
Mental health is something we all have and looking out for one another shouldn't depend on your role, your team or your experience.
If you think someone’s not okay, ask.
This World Su***de Prevention Day, we're launching to help make conversations around su***de feel more open, more informed and easier to have.
The new ‘On Your Side’ Toolkit offers practical guidance for everyone in sport, from athletes and coaches to parents, volunteers, officials and supporters.

We all have a part to play.
Whether you're an athlete, coach, parent, volunteer, official or supporter, if you think someone’s not okay, ask.
Starting a conversation doesn't require the perfect words. Sometimes, simply showing someone that you're there can make a difference.
This World Su***de Prevention Day, we're proud to be part of , a new initiative from The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales and BSI, helping people across sport feel more confident talking about su***de and supporting those around them.

“This is an opportunity for the government to not just redesign mental health services, but transform the way it thinks about mental health altogether, putting people and earliest possible prevention at its heart.”
Today's government announcement marks a positive step towards improving access to mental health support, and we welcome the commitment to expanding services and helping more people get the support they need.
But if we want to prevent people reaching crisis point, we must invest in support long before that moment. Early intervention, community-based services and the voluntary sector all have a vital role to play in building a future where everyone can access the right support, at the right time.
Mental health doesn't begin when someone walks through the doors of a hospital. It begins in our homes, our schools, our workplaces and our communities.
Our CEO, Jake Mills, has shared his response to today's announcement and why this is an opportunity to put prevention at the heart of how we think about mental health.

☀️ Time for a little summer reset...
Next week, our offices will be closed as the Chasing the Stigma team takes some well-earned time to pause, recharge and enjoy a slower pace.
Whether that's getting outside, spending time with people we love, or simply having a few days away from our screens, taking time to look after ourselves matters too. 💙
We'll be closed from the 1st of August and back on the 10th August, ready to continue pushing and doing the work we care so much about.
In the meantime, Hub of Hope remains available whenever you need it, helping you explore mental health support across the UK, please check the opening hours of your chosen service.
Have a restful week, and we'll see you soon! 🌻

Strong support starts with strong support networks ⚽
Last week, our team attended the Premier League Life Skills Provider Meeting, connecting with partners from across the network to share ideas and continue strengthening the support available through clubs, families and communities.
Here's what our team had to say about the day:
"It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow providers and collaborate on shaping the upcoming season. The sessions were incredibly insightful, focusing on how we deepen parental involvement in academy education and enhance our environments to better support neurodivergence. As part of the Life Skills Curriculum, Chasing the Stigma delivers our Ambassador of Hope mental health awareness training directly to the vital support networks: parents, carers, host families, and club staff."
We're proud to be working alongside Premier League clubs to help build environments where conversations around mental health feel more confident and informed 💙
