Bit of Sunday trivia for you - did you know the old saying “Pop goes the weasel” refers to Victorian-era Cockney rhyming slang for pawning (“pop”) one’s coat (“weasel” from weasel and stoat) to afford drinks at The Eagle tavern on City Road, London.
