The COSRT Research Learning Session series forms part of COSRT’s wider commitment to promoting research and knowledge creation and helping practitioners engage directly with the evidence shaping psychos*xual and relationship therapy.

The series sits alongside COSRT’s work with Sexual and Relationship Therapy, its multidisciplinary journal published by Taylor & Francis.

Through these focused learning sessions, COSRT aims to create a space where members can engage directly with researchers, explore how studies have been designed and conducted, critically examine findings, and consider what emerging evidence may mean for clinical practice.

New research published in Sexual and Relationship Therapy, COSRT’s official journal, explores the links between relationship quality, casual s*x, attitudes towards infidelity and gender.

The study suggests that lower relationship quality may increase the likelihood of engaging in casual s*x, which may in turn be associated with a greater risk of infidelity. It also found that men tended to report more favourable attitudes towards having multiple partners than women.
