A PDI today is waiting longer for a Part 3 date than the qualification process expects.
DVSA figures published this week show why: applications up 152% since 2018/19, Part 3 pass rates down to 27.7%, and a testing system without the examiner resource it needs.
The DVSA is recruiting and building new training routes. But its own update says some changes will take months.
That is a long wait if your training record, pupil progress and business admin live in different places.
