4 albums + many short films + remixes + one ranch = a portion of my career that I wouldn't trade for the world. Let me tell you what it was like.
Michael Jackson was a once-in-lifetime artist who created some of the most unique and memorable music in recording history. He surrounded himself with a very small group of musicians, producers and engineers who helped turn his ideas into reality. Brad Sundberg joined this team during the production of Captain Eo in 1985, and stayed with Michael as one of his engineers and technical director (in the studio as well as at Neverland Valley Ranch) for nearly 18 years. During that time Brad was actively involved in the studio production of four of Michael's studio albums: "Bad", "Dangerous", "HIStory", and "Blood On The Dancefloor". Brad was involved in the remixes and edits for the countless singles, short-films and tour preparation generated from these monster projects. As Michael's incredible Neverland Valley Ranch grew from dream to reality, he brought Brad in to design and install music and video systems in virtually every corner of the property. Michael would never settle for "carnival-grade" technology, so Brad treated each project with the same attention to detail as when he built listening and dance systems for Michael. Michael chose the music, but he trusted Brad to make it sound great. Brad has created a series of very unique seminars, describing what it was like to have worked so closely with Michael Jackson. The seminar is very music-driven, with stories and little-known trivial facts shared about how the albums were recorded in the various studios. If you are a fan of Michael's, or curious about his working style, you will enjoy being a part of one of these very special events.

You may not know the name Brick Price, but if you are a fan of "Captain EO," "Moonwalker", "Star Trek", or countless other productions, you have likely seen his work. Brick is a miniature and special effects artist whose career has taken him behind the scenes of some remarkable film and television productions. His work with Michael Jackson included creating miniatures, special set pieces, and visual effects for projects including "Captain EO", "Moonwalker," and Neverland Valley Ranch.
Brick became friends with Michael Jackson around the same time I did, and we crossed paths many times on various MJ projects, particularly at Neverland. I recently reconnected with Brick at his incredible production studio, where we had a fascinating conversation I think you're going to really enjoy.
As I've said many times, there’s a lot more to Michael than just "Billie Jean" and "Thriller". Conversations like this offer a glimpse into another side of Michael’s creativity, and the many talented people who helped bring his imagination to life.

Two special weekends are coming up In The Studio With MJ!
On October 10th, we’re heading to Stockholm, Sweden for a full day In The Studio With MJ. Join us 10:30am-7:00pm for the full In The Studio With MJ presentation, followed by Mixing and Stories, a hands-on experience where you can actually mix a Michael Jackson song and hear the techniques and stories behind the music.
Then, on October 17th, we’re bringing In The Studio With MJ to Warsaw, Poland! From 11:00am-7:00pm, join for the full In The Studio With MJ presentation as well as Mixing and Stories.
Two cities. Two full days of music, stories, and hands-on mixing.
