The Government is pushing ahead with plans for a third runway at Heathrow — while the Climate Change Committee has warned that expansion is incompatible with the UK’s climate goals.

That's why last week we were outside parliament making our voices heard.
We brought an ad van, held speeches, spoke to MPs and made one thing very clear: we won’t stop fighting this irresponsible and dangerous decision to expand Heathrow Airport.
But we can't do this alone.

We've all heard it: "I'd get the train or coach... but flying is just so much cheaper."
Well... is it?
We looked at 50 UK–Europe routes and compared what people actually pay, not just the headline fare, and found that once luggage is included, coach travel was actually cheaper than flying on 86% of routes.
The challenge isn't making sustainable travel more affordable. It already is.
The real barrier is time.
That's why we need policies like Sustainable Travel Leave that give people the time to choose lower-carbon travel.
Because doing the greener thing shouldn't be harder.
