World Architecture Day 2026: Housing is a human right. Build it'
I don't even know why I have such a passion for housing but it's often been the main reason for my travels.
I'm particularly fascinated by the ambition of the post war era in social housing at scale.
Time proved many of these estates / projects / schemes, to be failures but the will that was there to house people affordably is lacking today for various reasons.
Can anyone identify all of the featured estates?

Time to turn the calendars to October folks as we head into mid-autumn and the most colourful month of the year π
πThe LFTR calendar is this beautiful sunset view along The Thames
πThe Iconic Blocks calendar this month features the mighty Wyndham and Comber blocks rising over Burgess Park.
The 2027 calendars are in the final design stages and will drop early November. Enough of that tho. Bring on the beauty of October π

Sometimes when I'm not sure what to post, Facebook memories inspires me (the only thing Facebook is good for these days).
Late September 2015 and the full moon was no ordinary full moon. It was the full moon + total eclipse.
These shots were captured from The Bryanston, Hyde Park (It was actually the Marble Arch Tower, which made way for The Bryanston).
I watched the full moon rise, went home for dinner and a nap and returned to the Marble Arch Tower at 3am to capture the last slide.
No such moon joys to bring you from this weekend I'm afraid so thank you Facebook Memories π

On behalf of London's plants and wildlife, can we have some rain now please?
It's been a sunny summer to remember but these rainbows are from August's of yesteryear and just look at that carpet of lush, verdant grass π
Also, I wonder how this drought will efffet the autumn? π€

It's lovely to have this Mediterranean weather in London but our dusty yellow parks are not happy.
I half expected to see some camels walking across Hyde Park. πͺ πͺ πͺ
More hot weather ahead London so take it easy π

14 years ago today, London opened its doors to the world and turned on all the lights.
In my opinion it was one of the most exciting moments in London's living memory. Where were you?
A few days later I opened my first London from the Rooftops photography exhibition and to my surprise, the Olympic related photos outsold everything else. It made me realise how important connection is to art sales. This was our moment β€οΈ
To mark the anniversary, I've made these images available again as prints in A Size. DM to enquire β€οΈ
