These recordings have never been released before and recordings of the legendary Hungarian pianist Annie Fischer from this period is rare.

Featuring the outstanding violinist Dmitry Smirnov, the 'Finale' from YSAŸE's 'Sonata No. 4, Op. 27', was dedicated to Fritz Kreisler and indeed has essence of his playing within the piece, displaying impetuous and scintillating virtuosity.

'This first FHR release from US pianist Evan Mitchell features five works written by composers early in their careers. In music that bursts with inspiration, the promise and possibility of youth are on full display. Three of the composers on this album – Samuel Barber, Alban Berg, and Elliott Carter – went on to lead full lives, and these works grant us an early preview of their genius. The other two composers heard here each only lived to age 25: Vítězslava Kaprálová succumbed to an illness and Gideon Klein perished at Auschwitz. Their light exists in wondrous, if only partly realised, musical legacies.'

The final single from the album 'LEGACY' featuring works by AVNI, BEN-HAIM, SETER and AVNI is released today. 'Ballad' the second of three movements from Paul BEN-HAIM's 'Three Songs Without Words, Op. 45' (1952) demonstrates the composer’s remarkable ability to convey narrative and atmosphere without textual support. BEN-HAIM described the three movements as ‘pictures with Eastern character tunes,’ emphasising their evocative rather than programmatic nature.
