Sonosphere recently hosted photographer Bill Mumford in the studio mixing two 20-minute immersive pieces for his Masters final show.

Working with Sonosphere’s Phil Wright, Bill crafted Dolby Atmos mixes for Sound Encounters, an immersive sound piece, and Light Encounters, an immersive wildlife film.

TiMax Spatial Studio's job was for certainty rather than scale. Both works had to hold up whether an audience heard them binaurally on headphones or across a multi-loudspeaker system. Building them somewhere that could switch between the two meant Mumford could hear exactly what each audience would get, rather than committing to one and hoping the other translated.
