Time Out has spoken 👏
Newington Green is officially London’s coolest neighbourhood for 2026, landing at No. 33 on its list of the world’s coolest neighbourhoods 🎉
We’ve called Newington Green home, with our Buller and Rice flagship salon, for over 8 years! So seeing our little corner of London get its flowers feels pretty special☺️
The ranking celebrates the area’s mix of brilliant food, drink, independent businesses, history and proper community spirit.
And we’re in very good company. Jolene, Perilla, The Lady Mildmay, The Golden Tooth, Bar Etna, Army & Navy, Cadet, Stella’s, Oeno Maris, Lot 103, Yield, Jumi, The Mildmay Club, Push Cycles, Belle Epoque, the Mary Wollstonecraft memorial statue and plenty more keeping the neighbourhood interesting.
Good hair, good food, good wine, good people.

Summer isn’t officially over until the annual B+R staff party says so.
This year started, naturally, with a slightly chaotic Sports Day, three-legged races, rogue eggs, sack-race wipeouts and a level of competitiveness nobody was quite prepared for. 🥚🏃♀️💨
Then onto the important stuff: piles of plenty of fizz, and a very well-earned toast to another year of Buller and Rice. 🍕🥂
We rounded things off at The Star by Hackney Downs with drinks, karaoke and some questionable song choices 🎤
Big love to our brilliant B+R lot. Another year, another party, another reminder that we’re probably better at hair than we are at athletics.
Same time next year. ❤️

14 years in the making.
