I Can Die Too is Co- written by me, with Alan Cu***ng & Sally George
It’s a play with music - about a play with music. Set in a tech rehearsal- leading actress Lily (me 😬) is rehearsing a play, inspired by the Human Voice. She can’t bear the role she is playing, as it reminds her of herself. As she faces her past, she loses her nerve to perform. I she can’t help herself singing about it.
Blurring the lines between tragicomedy, drama, musical theatre and concert. Anarchy- As anarchic as Lily.
The title - the word’s Cocteau said when he heard that Edith Piaf had died. I Can Die Too. And word has it, that he died within 24 hours. Photo by Frederic Aranda

Tony Awards 39 years ago. I was out of my seat so quick! 😂 (maybe an edit! ) A very short speech. Ta-dah. I had such a wonderful time on Broadway. I was 21 years old. 1987. The Tony was the cherry on the cake. That wonderful show has given me so much. Forever wowed by it.
My Tony Award broke, the day I received it - so now I have a unique one. A one of a kind made by Scot Sherrard at using the original medallion. It’s very VERY heavy. I love it. It’s pictured here.
