Russell grew up in Cape Town and qualified in Engineering before commencing his career in building in the early ‘90’s. After arriving in London in 1999 he started his own building maintenance company which grew to become Key Building Works Ltd, a company involved in all aspects of design and build in London and Surrey. Russell and his highly experienced team are known for their efficiency, reliability and expert management in delivering projects on time and to budget.

This compact cloakroom pairs rich, textured tiles with a bespoke stone vanity and carefully considered detailing, proving that limited space needn’t limit the result.

Good design makes space work harder.
This bespoke unit was designed to bring several functions together without making the room feel busy.
Wardrobe storage, a TV unit, display shelving and seating are integrated into one continuous piece of joinery, while the less attractive necessities, including the air-conditioning unit, are concealed within the design.
Rather than treating each requirement as a separate object, we looked at how they could become part of one considered architectural feature.
The result is more storage, more functionality and less visual clutter. Turning the practical parts of the room into something worth looking at.
