John Stableforth Actor

The director said one word. Everything shifted. 🎬

Sometimes the most powerful choice is stillness. Exploring where vulnerability lives in the blocking today. marked-up script in hand, training sword, and a conversation that completely reframed the scene.

This is the work I love most. The quiet collaboration before the camera rolls.

If you're casting a project that needs this kind of commitment to craft, let's talk. ✉️

Blood, armour, and a rocky hillside. 🎬

Somebody had a good day on set.

There's something about getting into full battle kit and just... committing. The camera operator, the light, the landscape. everyone's telling the story together.

This is exactly why I do this.

If you've got a project that needs someone who'll throw themselves into it completely, drop me a message. Let's make something worth watching. ⚔️

I spent twenty years feeding people before I fed my soul. 🍳

Two decades in professional kitchens. UK, France, the whole chaotic, beautiful grind of it. The heat, the discipline, the relentless pressure to perform when it matters most.

I didn't plan to become an actor. But somewhere between the prep work and the plating up, I realised I'd been studying human beings my whole career. Their hunger. Their joy. Their bad days and their celebrations.

When I finally walked into drama training, I didn't arrive empty-handed.

I arrived with twenty years of stories.

If you're a casting director, producer, or collaborator looking for someone who brings genuine depth to the work. let's connect. 🎬

On the doorstep 😍

It's been awhile since this was filmed 2018 and I can't believe how far we have come but this was the start of the journey for me. I got to work with some amazing people and make something that was then played at the BFI London.

already broken after a busy breakfast and lunch shift working in a kitchen but still have dinner to go and pretty sure I was out the night before

Everybody loves Smac
