Design Command

We were excited to develop a new design concept here - it felt fitting given the restaurant’s name, Navateet, meaning new and old.

Our concept draws on the evolution of Indian dining, from the craftsmanship of the Mughal era, through the iconic curry houses of the 80s and 90s, and into today’s contemporary fusion of Indian cuisine.

The interior layers bold colour, rich palettes, curated prints and bespoke detailing.

We wanted to honour the idea of old and new within the design, retaining select Wildwood elements while introducing new features that bring depth, warmth and a refreshed identity to the space.

We’re pleased to share a series of photos from Navateet - a modern Indian restaurant in the heart of Brentwood and a project that holds particular significance for us. This site is one we originally designed over a decade ago as a Wildwood restaurant, so returning to reimagine the space has been a meaningful milestone for our team.

We’re very proud to share that we’ve been shortlisted as finalists in the Restaurant Design category at The SBID® International Design Awards 2026 for our work with The Sushi Co!

We had such a fun evening last week for the Commercial Interiors UK summer party on the Driftwoods River Yacht!

The public areas at Ravens Ait were designed to reflect the island’s unique setting on the Thames. We introduced a palette inspired by the river and surrounding landscape, bringing warmth and simplicity to the reception and wedding rooms.

Contemporary detailing, soft natural tones and considered material choices create spaces that feel calm, welcoming and closely connected to their environment, a refined backdrop for celebrations on the island.

Ravens Ait carries a long association with maritime training, having served for many years as a base for the Navy League and the Sea Cadet Corps. That heritage informed our approach to the guestrooms, where we introduced subtle naval cues through structured detailing, layered lighting and a restrained, functional palette.

Soft neutrals are paired with deeper tones drawn from traditional naval materials, creating rooms that feel calm, grounded and quietly connected to the island’s past.
