At the end of a talk I gave, a woman came over to me.
“I can see the signs. I need to stop and take care of myself. I’m exhausted.”
I listened to her and invited her to the Back to Me Experience.
She said, “I’ll see.”
Her words stayed with me.
Sometimes we’re in the middle of the sea, exhausted from swimming.
A boat comes close enough to help us, but we say, “I’ll see.”
And we keep swimming.
We keep believing we can manage a little longer — until there is nothing left in us.
Seeing the signs is not the same as responding to them.
You don’t have to be drowning before you allow yourself to get into the boat.
You matter.
Please don’t keep saying “I’ll see” to yourself.
When was the last time someone asked what you wanted,and you knew the answer?
You remember what everyone needs. You answer the calls. You solve the problems. You make sure everyone is okay.
Then one day, you realise you no longer know what makes you happy.
There is grief in that too.
And perhaps the hardest part isn’t that nobody noticed you disappearing.
It’s that you didn’t either.
It was never really about him.
You can move on from one relationship... and find yourself living the exact same story with someone else.
Different face.
Same longing.
Same disappointment.
Because the pattern isn’t choosing your partners.
It’s choosing from the same wound.
The moment you heal what your mind has been trying to solve for years, your relationships begin to change too.
