It used to be said that it takes a village to raise a child.
Today, many children have only Mum and Dad.
And sometimes not even both.
So when a child falls out with a parent, who do they turn to?
Too often the answer is another child.
Another young person who is just as confused, inexperienced and lost as they are.
Children need trusted adults around them.
Mentors. Grandparents. Uncles. Aunts. Teachers. Coaches.
Because sometimes the advice that changes a child's life doesn't come from a parent.
It comes from another trusted adult.

Every father is building a legacy.
Not just through what he provides.
But through the memories he creates. The conversations he has. The trust he builds.
One day our children will tell stories about us.
The question is:
What story are we writing today?
A Father's Presence is available now.

Most fathers would do anything for their children.
Work longer hours. Sacrifice their comfort. Put their family first.
The problem isn't love.
The problem is connection.
Many fathers would die for their children, but struggle to spend ten uninterrupted minutes connecting with them. And yet it's those small moments of connection that build trust, influence and strong relationships. Children don't just need our provision. They need our presence.

Most parents love their children. The question is: Does your child experience that love in a way they can recognise?
Through your attention. Through your listening. Through your presence. That's where connection is built. A lesson from A Father's Presence. Available now on Amazon. Link in bio.

One of the key messages in A Father's Presence:
Fear may create compliance.
But trust creates connection.
And connection is what allows us to guide our children when life becomes difficult.

Most fathers love their children deeply.
The challenge isn't a lack of love.
It's a lack of intentionality.
Life gets busy. Work takes over. The years pass quickly.
That's why presence matters so much.
Not perfect fatherhood.
Intentional fatherhood.

A week after launching A Father's Presence, one message keeps coming back to me: Don't wait. Don't wait until your child is struggling. Don't wait until they're older. Don't wait until you have more time.

Connection is built in the small moments, long before the big ones arrive. That's when trust is formed. That's when influence is built. A Father's Presence is available now on Amazon. Link in bio.

Today is launch day.
I'm incredibly grateful to finally share A Father's Presence: 7 Steps to Raising Children Who Trust and Turn to You.
This book was written from years of working with families, supporting parents, and my own experiences as a father of six.
If it helps even one father build a stronger relationship with their child, it will have been worth it.
Thank you to everyone who has encouraged, supported, shared and believed in this project.
The book is available now:
