This , we asked CEO Verity Glasgow and research lead Dr. Shannon Hirst what makes them happy to work at OnePlusOne.

Of course, helping people get on better in their relationships and seeing the impact of our work is a huge part of it.

But it’s also about the people we work alongside. Being surrounded by like-minded people who care about the same mission creates a sense of shared purpose, making even the challenging days feel worthwhile.

Happiness at work isn’t just about enjoying what you do – it’s about who you do it with, and why it matters.

Gen Z are the generation that choose to be single — but why?

Janet and Sereena dig into why Gen Z struggle to commit: an abundance of choice, less shame around being single, or romance simply not being the biggest goal to strive for anymore.

Spoiler: it might be all three.

Relationships aren’t just at the heart of what we do. They’re at the heart of everything. How we get on with others plays an essential role in our home, at work and in our communities. Research also shows that social connection impacts our physical health too.

For a thriving society, how people get on matters. Helping people to develop and maintain good quality relationships early on is better than waiting for a crisis that needs urgent intervention. We want to see support for relational health as mainstream as support for physical and mental health.

If you too are interested in relational capability and the importance of relationships to improving lives, get in touch. We’re happy to talk about our work.

NEW EPISODE of Relationships Unplugged out now!

This episode was filmed in January - the first time Janet and Sereena met - and it's fair to say the spark was there from the start!

Two generations, one big shift: women are now building their own lives first. Janet saw it start in her day but for Gen Z, this is the new normal.

So, what's actually changed in dating? Has the modern world made it harder or easier to find a partner?

We were delighted to receive this feedback from parents who completed our Me, You and Baby Too course, designed to support them through the transition to parenthood.

Every parent wants their child to grow up in a supportive, nurturing environment, but if they’re not prepared for the changes that parenthood brings to their relationship, stress and friction can creep in to spoil the calm. We’re proud to support hundreds of families each year, helping them with the transition to parenthood so that they can manage stressful times and communicate well with each other. Not only does it benefit their relationship, but it’s important to help their children thrive too.

‘Staying calm is where it all begins...’ This is a comment made by a parent who completed our Getting it Right for Children course. It’s a simple statement, but one that’s not always easy to do in the heat of an argument, or when emotions are running high.

Our range of evidence-based courses for parents help them to develop skills to resolve disagreements respectfully, even if they are with an ex-partner. Co-parenting well after separation requires parents to be able to discuss difficult topics in a non-confrontational way. We help parents learn how to do it. It’s good for them and their children.
