🎶 We did it! We made it to prelims 🎶

After getting over the initial 😱, we had an absolutely amazing time on stage this weekend! It was such a privilege and joy to be able to share our much loved package with everyone, and to top it all off, we're very happy to come away with our first quartet score of 64.3%! ☺️

A definite highlight of the weekend (besides the singing of course!) was the incredible barbershop community. Everyone was so welcoming, encouraging, and friendly. We meant it when we sang yesterday: "We're so blessed to have this place where we belong" 🫶🏾

A big thank you to the wonderful coaches who worked with us today, but also a huge thank you to our lovely coaches, Debi Cox, OG Vocal Studio, Karen Lillywhite - Vocal Coach & Performer and Blair Brown, who helped us along this journey! We couldn't have done it without your support and guidance!🫰🏾

One of the most nerve wracking things you can do as a quartet is perform in front of your own chorus! So that's what we did last night! 💪🏽

We somehow managed to make errors we've never made before, but also fixed the bits that we always get wrong. 🤷🏽‍♀️ We also experienced singing with our hearts pounding and running out of saliva, which is a completely new ball game! 😳

Our friends at Capital Connection were as lovely and supportive as ever, and we are now all set for our very first prelims! Woohoo! 🥳💃🏽🎶

Yesterday we had the wonderful opportunity to perform at Eclipse's 20th anniversary concert. It was so much fun and the most cohesive we have felt in our performance as a quartet.

The countdown is now on for our next big event....prelims!

How lucky are we to have had the opportunity to spend the morning going over our prelims package with the one and only, Blair Brown! Not only is she so talented and knowledgeable in all things performance, but she's also such a kind and genuine person, and in this one session, she has helped us to believe in ourselves and the power of the music we make. Thank you, Blair! You're exactly what we needed! ❤️

As we start preparing for Prelims 2026, we had our very first zoom coaching session, with the lovely and very talented Karen Lillywhite - Vocal Coach & Performer

She helped us navigate some tricky sections in our balled, reminded us that singing gently doesn't mean singing slowly(!) and gave us the confidence boost we needed! Thank you, Karen ❤️

And of course we finished with tea and cake (it was apparently "Dolly's first birthday")!
