Throwback Thursday Set 8297 Off-Roader released in 2008 has 1097 pieces and was one of the largest sets that year, with the power functions this makes this set one of the most advanced sets at the time, it has quite a few features including the winch at the front as well as steering controlled by the gear wheel on top of the model, the boot/trunk has the ability to be opened as well as the futuristic doors which are operated by the 2 damped shock absorbers, the engine is also visible and moves when the truck is in motion. This is the first time we see a few pieces including the steering arm 6x2 with tow ball socket and polarity switch which was only used a hand full of times.

Throwback Thursday Set 42063 BMW R 1200 GS Adventure was released in 2017 and has 603 pieces, this set features handlebar steering, front and rear suspension, two-cylinder boxer engine with moving pistons, visible shaft drive, opening top case and luggage panniers a kickstand and is the only time Lego Technic and BMW have collaborated together. This set has a unique piece and is the only Technic model to use the quadruple axel connector 2x3 and was the first set to use the rims in black and the curved panels 3x5x3 in light grey and trans clear and was the last set to use the all terrain tyres.
This set was also part of the 40th anniversary of Lego Technic and every set made in 2017 had a special 3x1 white brick with a printed design.
This model was also part of a collaboration to build a modern version of the model 8860 car chassis from Parts of the 42061 Telehandler and 42057 Ultralight Helicopter and this set.

Throwback Thursday Set 8259 Mini bulldozer released in 2009 and has 165 pieces of which 52 were track pieces, this set was available as set 8259 but also came in the multi packs set 66318 and set 66359, the only feature this model has it the lifting of the blade which uses a worm gear and is operated using the bush part at the back of the model, the tracks also are movable when the dozer is in motion.
The b model surprisingly has more features as the arm of the model can be moved in 2 directions again using the worm gear and also a scissor mechanism and again the tracks move when the vehicle is in motion.
