📑Our latest publication in Frontiers in Digital Health explores important questions about making mental health research more culturally inclusive.
🤝Our findings show that cultural sensitivity in digital health tools requires sustained co-production with the communities the research is meant to serve and a willingness to keep revisiting decisions as understanding evolves.

Yesterday we attended a careers fair at Matthew Moss High School in Rochdale as part of GM.Digital’s outreach work to connect with young people.
We spoke to over 150 young people about GM.Digital’s research and our Youth Connection Programme, and it was great to hear some students already looking to go into careers in mental health and tech.
So much of our work centres around young people so it’s great to engage with young people through schools as we always get really interesting feedback!

Currently in the UK, approximately 75% of inpatient beds in mental health wards are allocated to psychosis, a severe mental health diagnosis which accounts for 30% of the NHS mental health spend. But what if we could reduce this spend and free up hospital beds?
is one of the first digital intervention to use a team of digital navigators to help deliver an app which has been shown to reduce relapses by 50%. Instead, users are twice as likely to be managed in Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs), then admitted to hospital.
In the latest Digital Health Research Seminar, Digital Navigators Fran Quigley and Ayla Ozkan explain the importance of this role in implementing digital interventions in the NHS and its potential to be used as a blueprint for others.

📑 Our latest paper, “Inclusive design in digital mental health: stakeholders with disabilities must be central to usability testing”, has been published in Frontiers in Digital Health.
🤝 This paper shares how our team co-developed a digital referral tool for NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and, crucially, how we did it with people with disabilities at the heart of the process.
