Last Thursday, Tom and Mia from the GM.Digital team were invited to the third working group of the CYP PPIE National Collaborative at St Hilda’s College, University of Oxford.

The event brought together young people, researchers, PPIE professionals and national organisations for a day of shared learning, discussion, and priority setting.

It was great to share our learnings from our research with young people on EN-CAMHS, as well as our ongoing work with Youth Connection, a research advisory group for young people interested in mental health research.

It was also valuable to hear about others’ work with young people, discuss the potential impact of the forthcoming social media ban on PPIE, and explore how we can create meaningful, transparent, and sustainable opportunities for young people to be involved in research moving forward.

It was a great event, and we’re really excited to see where this collaboration goes!

🤝Our findings show that cultural sensitivity in digital health tools requires sustained co-production with the communities the research is meant to serve and a willingness to keep revisiting decisions as understanding evolves.
