This will also be our final Manchester event, making it your last chance to experience Rogue Alternative Market & Cabaret in the city we’ve proudly called home.

Expect amazing alternative traders, incredible cabaret performances, a fantastic community, and plenty of Rocky Horror-inspired fun.

🖤 One Last Rogue… 🖤

This is one of the hardest posts we’ve ever had to write.
After a lot of thought, we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision that our Rogue Alternative Market & Cabaret on Sunday 1st November will be our final event in Manchester.

When Rogue began, it was never just about having a market. It was about creating a home for our alternative community. A place where small businesses could thrive, performers could shine, friendships could be made, and people could walk through the doors knowing they would be welcomed exactly as they are.
Over the years we’ve laughed together, celebrated together and watched this wonderful community grow. We’ve met some incredible people and created memories we’ll treasure forever.

Sadly, passion alone isn’t enough to keep an event alive.

Every event costs hundreds of pounds before a single person walks through the door. Venue hire, licences, insurance, entertainment, equipment, marketing and months of planning all happen behind the scenes. As attendance has gradually declined, we’ve reached the point where we simply can’t continue without making significant losses.

We don’t say this to make anyone feel guilty. Life is expensive, people are busy, and everyone has choices about how they spend their time and money. But it is a reminder that independent events only exist because people choose to support them. When that support fades, even the events that people love eventually disappear.
If you’ve ever said, “I’ll come next time,” sadly, there won’t be a next time.

So we’re asking one final favour.
If Rogue has ever given you a fantastic day out, helped you discover an amazing independent trader, introduced you to incredible performers, or simply made you feel like you belonged, please come and celebrate with us one last time.
Let’s fill the room with laughter, applause, shopping, music and all the wonderful weirdness that has made Rogue so special. Let’s give our traders, performers and this amazing community the farewell they deserve.

Third and final performer announcement for our event on 5th July. Lowra ‘Loli’ Laytex has spent over 15 years performing as a burlesque artist, model, gogo dancer, poet, content creator, prodomme, and s*x ed/kink teacher.
She is also one half of T&A Productions - a company with a mission to create inclusive, interesting, kinky, quirky and downright weird events that promote a sense of community, help people to be express themselves and encourage them to have fun in a protected space.
When not getting filthy and leading people astray on stage, she is an avid supporter of disability rights and bodily autonomy.

Behind every local event is a huge amount of work that most people never see.
From venue hire, insurance, licences, security and entertainment, to marketing, equipment, staffing and countless hours of planning, events cost thousands of pounds to bring to life before a single person walks through the door.
Rogue Alternative Market & Cabaret exists because people choose to support it. Every ticket purchased, every drink bought, every stall visited and every social media share helps keep independent events alive.
If we don’t support local, independent events, they simply disappear. Once they’re gone, they’re incredibly difficult to bring back.
