Anxious Lavender Surly Steamroller framesets seem sold out just about everywhere.

Still feeling the draw after the initial excitement, on the fence about how to build up? We have 1 x 49cm and 1 x 62 framesets from that delivery left. Around 5’6” or over 6’ and feeling the draw to simplicity? We can help 😉

This Brother Big Bro didn’t need to be too ATB, more Utility, though it could be

Across town rather than continents or wherever you need to be

We love them all, just some a smidge more

Getting a bit thin on the ground now, no Larges at all until later, maybe even early next year. Greens and Blacks in various combinations are though, just not Large ;o)

Love the black and silver combo and that headset top cap is a peach.

Basketpacking anyone?

Not much in the way of Surly Ogre framesets available for customisation here in the UK for a few months now but there are full bikes so here we are.

Take one large bike and strip off the derailleur system to make way for the Rohloff Speedhub rear wheel, add Jones Riser Loop H Bars and change the Deore chainring to something with a few more teeth and away we go.

One mile munching beast of an all terrain tourer.

Hope Pro5 and SON dynamo hubs built up onto VelocityUSA 650b Cliffhanger rims right here with Sapim Race butted spokes for this Surly 54cm Disc Trucker

The dynamo is hooked up to the superb Exposure Revo5 light and usb-c charger via the internal routing on the fork, neat.

A smattering of choice parts by Velo Orange, BrooksEngland, Ergon, Panaracer and Shimano UK.

Tubeless by StansNotubes of course.

Classic rando build and up in our build gallery soon…

Fab to see such a great turnout for the Albion / Pertex Manchester showing of the Mountains and Trees film last night at Track Brewing Co.

Ace time even if you were subjected to our waffling afterwards…. Hope it was useful to someone!

We took the tandem all kitted out in ‘race’ mode - it’s *so* looking forward to visiting the Ta**us mountains in October to complete the Tandem Full Nelson.

Bring more dogs next time, stern face not required.

Full on dream building right here with this Brother Cycles Mehteh gravel mile muncher.

Shimano GRX820 on Hope RDForty carbon wheels. All wrapped up in Stans tubeless equipped Panaracer Gravelking 700 x 45mm tyres.

King stainless steel bottle cages so you don’t lose your bottle.

Easton super nice EA90 stem and seat post with carbon AX handlebars for just a touch more comfort and control. Ergon Gravel bar tape lends a hand here.

Brooks C15 is the ever popular choice for comfort over miles.

We’ve been pondering for a bit and yes, dreamy is the word.

The Tumbleweed Macro Pannier Rack is a rugged, versatile rack designed to carry heavy loads and larger panniers, ideal for extended expeditions. Building on ten years of proven Pannier Rack design, the Macro increases strength and adds dual mounting flexibility without sacrificing simplicity.

The best rack yet!

The Macro features wider support legs and a secondary lower pannier mounting rail. 50mm tail light mount too.

You also get Tumbleweed’s signature triple mounting bosses for water bottles or small dry bags. All of this adds just two ounces over the standard Pannier Rack.

In UK stock ready for immediate despatch in black or silver and 355 or 380mm deck heights.

To determine which rack height you need, measure from your lower rack mount to the top of your tire, and add 25-50mm, but this is just a guideline, call if you’re not sure before ordering.

Need a top mount? We have adaptors in stock too. Not sure what you need? Give us a call, operators are standing by…

This teenage Surly Ogre came in for a new lick of powder and a Rohloff revision service. We’re big fans of wearing it out, doing some maintainance then wearing it out again. Buy right the first time.

Cyclone Powdercoaters in Cheadle, Sth Manchester did a stunning job with this yellow gold and gold sparkle over the top, really difficult to photo just how good it is.

Get yourself down there and check out their sample wall, it’s amazing.

Gonna put it back together and see you on the other side…

JOIN US NEXT WEEK

Next stop on the global film tour: Manchester.

Join us on Thursday 30th July for a screening of Mountains and Trees, an Albion and Pertex production taking a look at the person behind the Mountain Races.

The Mountain Races started in Kyrgyzstan in 2018, with the inaugural edition of the Silk Road Mountain Race. Since then the series has developed a reputation for being some of the most inspiring ultra distance races in the world. ‘Mountains and Trees’ takes a closer look at the person behind the races, Nelson Trees. It explores why people attempt these types of races with no prizes, what they learn, and what they experience in the remote places that host the events.

Ticket price includes free beer or soft drink at Track.

Pizza available from Slice Culture.

Social ride starting at 17:30 more details to follow.

Doors from 19:00.

Check ALBION linkinbio for tickets!

See you there 😎

With a little help from their friends Paul Davy is off to do a bit of adventuring all the way across Iceland next week on a Brother Big Bro dripping with Hope components and Old Man Mountain Divide racks. Restrap are taking care of the carrying of course!

It’s going to be quite the trip. Solo for 14 days and 850k East to West coinciding with an eclipse in August, what a blast!

There’ll be a film in good time and hopefully some cracking documenting along the way. We’re excited to follow along, maybe you should too…
