Second installation completed today in Hyde.

This customer opted for a premium Hikvision 8MP ColorVu CCTV system, providing full colour recording 24 hours a day, even in extremely low light conditions.

The installation consists of 3 x 8MP ColorVu cameras with built in two way audio, active warning lights and sirens, allowing the system not only to record incidents but actively deter intruders before they gain access to the property.

The cameras are connected to a Hikvision AcuSense recorder, providing intelligent human and vehicle detection. This significantly reduces false alerts caused by animals, weather conditions and general movement, ensuring notifications are relevant when they matter most.

The system has also been configured for remote viewing, allowing the customer to view live footage, receive instant notifications and communicate through the cameras directly from their smartphone anywhere in the world.

It’s been a while since we’ve posted our day to day installations, so here’s the first job completed today.

This customer opted for a 3 camera Hikvision 8MP analogue CCTV system, providing excellent image quality and reliable coverage at a cost effective price.

Although an analogue system was chosen, we’ve fully future proofed the installation by wiring the entire system in CAT6 cable with RJ45 terminations. The cameras are currently connected via analogue converters, meaning the infrastructure is already in place should the customer wish to upgrade to a full IP system in the future.

The system is powered by the latest Hikvision AcuSense recorder, providing intelligent AI powered human and vehicle detection for more accurate alerts and reduced false activations.

We’ll be getting back into the habit of regularly sharing some of our smaller domestic installations, alongside our larger commercial projects, so keep an eye on our page for more updates.

⚠️ Customer Notice – 8MP ColourVu Cameras ⚠️

If you’ve recently had our new 8MP ColourVu cameras installed with two-way audio and smart hybrid light, and you’ve noticed your image is no longer 24/7 colour, please get in touch.

We’ve identified over the past few days that a firmware update has changed the way the smart hybrid IR/white light operates. It may now be defaulting to IR (black & white) when no motion is detected, instead of maintaining full-time colour.

This has already affected a few recent installations, so we’re proactively reaching out.

If you would like your cameras set back to 24/7 full colour, that’s absolutely no problem just let us know and we’ll get it sorted for you free of charge.

Recent guidance around data protection and CCTV usage continues to emphasise the legal requirement for clear and visible CCTV signage wherever cameras are operating on commercial premises.

If your business records members of the public, staff, or visitors, you must clearly inform people that CCTV is in operation. This is normally done through warning signage placed at entrances and around monitored areas.

At Guardian Watch Ltd – Protecting what matters most, we have recently reached out to the majority of our commercial clients to provide FREE CCTV warning signs to help ensure compliance.

Due to demand, our free signage stock is now becoming limited. From May 2026, CCTV warning signs supplied by Guardian Watch Ltd will be chargeable.

If your business has not yet received a CCTV warning sign, please get in touch with us and we will do our best to supply one while free stock remains.
