Thank you to everyone from us all at the MRC, especially all those who had to work extra hard on Friday night. We are grateful for the expertise and professionalism demonstrated at all times. Sorry you had to do it again on Saturday after we had finished at lunch.

To all the marshals and volunteers, thank you very much for your help and support on Trackrod Rally Yorkshire.

I hope that you had an enjoyable weekend of rallying despite the incidents. It was great to see so many of you out and working to make our event such a success, so well done to all those who were out last week putting everything in place.

This year brought its challenges unfortunately, for the first time in many of our memories we were unable to complete the running of the stage, as the Friday night stage had to be cancelled after only a handful of cars had passed through.

Unbelievably, we then faced a similar problem on Saturday, having to curtail the running of SS4 and SS5, issuing notional times to those competitors who had not completed those stages.

Despite these issues and understandable disappointment from some competitors, we have already received positive comments

I will be working on the prize draw in the next few days, so look out for an email with, what may be good news!

Our crews will be using the stipulated gravel tyre from our sponsors MRF Motorsport Tyres UK - Service & Sport this weekend at Trackrod Rally Yorkshire.
We limit each car to 10 tyres per season to keep costs under control.

TRACKROD RALLY PREVIEW

Those straights to and from the famous Woodyard look long and very fast - except they will be in the dark!

Friday evening in Dalby Forest accounts for almost 50% of the stage mileage to be completed on Saturday morning….
We have a fantastic 25 crews set to do battle split almost evenly over two classes.

R53: Oxfordshire farmer David Burden / Stephen Moyses (car 305) and Andrew Otto / Tom Hynd
(306) head the gravel standings. Hynd won this event's class as a driver in 2025, and brings that winning know-how to the co-driver's seat alongside Otto. Sven Grube / Alfie Element (301) lead the overall standings, with Grube fresh off three weeks on M-Sport WRC duties in South America. 18-year-old Henri Cynwyl / Dilwyn John (303) come in on strong recent form, having taken the class win at Greystoke on only his second gravel event.

R50: 18-year-old Ruan Lowry / Paul Turner (311) and Simon Austin / Russell Thompson (309) head the gravel standings, with Catherine Bell / Steph Wadge (319) top of the overall table. Bell is an engineer from Barrow-in-Furness. Ryan Evans / John Evans (310) arrive in good recent form, having taken the R50 class win at the Plains Rally after a last-stage battle with Ruan Lowry. A warm welcome too to Simon Jackson / Harry Forrest (325), with Jackson back on his first rally for
many years as he returns to the sport with a navigator going into the woods for the first time. (That’s a baptism!)
